Custom Signs King City
Seneca College's King Campus sits on the former 700-acre estate of the Eaton family, department store royalty who built Eaton Hall, a 72-room Norman-style castle, in 1937 as a summer residence grand enough to host actual royalty, and it did: Princess Alice, Princess Anne, and Princess Margaret all visited over the years. The estate served as a Royal Canadian Navy convalescent hospital during the Second World War before the family sold it to Seneca College in 1971. Today it's a working campus of roughly 3,000 students, complete with a working farm supporting the college's veterinary technician program, and Eaton Hall itself now operates as a corporate event venue and inn. That's the kind of signage market King City actually is: large estate and institutional properties, small main street businesses in King City, Nobleton, and Schomberg, and very little in between.

King City Sign Permits
The Township of King has its own sign bylaw, separate from Vaughan, Aurora, or East Gwillimbury. Because much of the township is zoned for large-lot estate and agricultural use rather than standard commercial zoning, sign size and placement rules can differ meaningfully from a typical suburban plaza. Properties like Seneca's King Campus, occupying former estate land under a long-term ground lease with the township, often carry site-specific institutional signage requirements in addition to the general bylaw.
