Custom Signs Pickering
The Pickering Nuclear Generating Station, running since 1971, is in the early stages of a $26.8 billion refurbishment approved by the Ontario government, extending its four CANDU reactors' operating life by up to 38 years. Ontario Power Generation, working with engineering partners AtkinsRéalis and Aecon under a $2.1 billion early contract, expects the project to sustain roughly 30,500 jobs a year during the refurbishment period alone, execution begins in 2027 with completion expected by the mid-2030s. That single facility has its own entirely separate signage and safety-identification needs from anything else in the city. A few kilometres north, Seaton, one of the largest new master-planned communities in the GTA, is building an entirely new city from scratch, while Durham Live, a casino resort and entertainment district, has added a completely different commercial identity along Highway 401.
We design, manufacture, and install signage entirely in-house, and we work with Pickering business owners online, by email and phone, rather than through a retail storefront.

Signage for Pickering's Energy Sector
The Pickering Nuclear Generating Station and the companies supporting its multi-year, multi-billion-dollar refurbishment need signage built for an industrial and energy-sector environment: safety identification, contractor and site access wayfinding, and facility signage distinct from anything in Pickering's retail or residential areas.

Signage for Seaton
Seaton, a large master-planned community in north Pickering, is genuinely being built from the ground up, meaning most businesses opening there need signage from scratch with no existing sign to replace, on properties that typically carry site plan conditions set during the development approval process.

Signage for Durham Live and Pickering Town Centre
Durham Live's casino resort and hospitality district, and the retail around Pickering Town Centre, give Pickering a completely different commercial identity again: hospitality wayfinding, entertainment-district signage, and standard mall-adjacent retail.

Signage for Frenchman's Bay
Frenchman's Bay's waterfront businesses along Lake Ontario need pedestrian-scale, tourism-oriented signage, a genuinely different brief than any of Pickering's other districts.
What we build for Frenchman's Bay businesses:
- Blade signs, available illuminated, non-illuminated, as a lightbox, or as premium push-thru

Pickering Sign Permits
The City of Pickering has its own sign bylaw, separate from Ajax, Whitby, or Toronto. Seaton, as a large new master-planned community, typically carries site plan conditions set during the development approval process that affect signage on top of the general bylaw. Properties near the nuclear generating station or supporting its refurbishment may also have site-specific safety and signage requirements set by OPG and its contracting partners.
